Dalhousie important dates fall 2024

Here are Dalhousie important dates and deadlines for fall 2024.

1. The university will be closed in recognition of Labour Day on September 2, 2024.
2. The opening ceremony for the Halifax campus will occur on a date to be determined in September 2024.
3. Fall term classes will begin on September 3, 2024.
4. Residence fees for the Fall term will be due on a date to be determined in September 2024.
5. September 17, 2024, is the due date for fall term fees, and it is also the last day to register, the last day to add fall term and multi-term courses, the last day to drop fall term courses and multi-term courses with no financial implications, the last day for a complete refund, the last day to apply for honours programs, the last day to opt out of the UPass, and the last day to change from Dalhousie to King’s and vice versa.
6. The university will be closed on September 30, 2024, in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, which is also the last day to opt out of the DSU Health Plan.
7. The December exam schedule will be posted on October 1, 2024, according to Dalhousie important dates calendar.
8. October 2, 2024, is the last day to change fall term courses from audit to credit (and vice versa) and the last day to drop fall term courses without a “W”.
9. Senate will award degrees and diplomas on October 10, 2024, and transcripts will be updated, with convocation ceremonies to follow.

18. Classes will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, for Monday classes.
19. Classes will also be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, for Monday classes, and classes will end for the fall term on the same day.

Dalhousie important dates winter 2025

Here is Dalhousie important dates and deadlines for winter 2025.

1. Classes will begin for the winter term on January 6, 2025.
2. The exchange/study abroad application deadline will be on a date to be determined in January 2025.
3. January 20, 2025, is the due date for winter term fees, which is also the last day to register, the last day to add winter term courses, the last day to drop winter term courses with no financial implications, the last day to opt out of the UPass, and the last day for students starting in the winter term to opt into or opt out of the DSU Health Plan.
4. The April exam schedule will be posted on February 1, 2025, according to Dalhousie important dates calendar.

Registration for graduate students in the Faculties of Health, Engineering, and Agriculture will open at 7:30 AM on a date to be determined in March 2025 for Fall/Winter 2025/26 terms, while registration for all other undergraduate programs will open at 6:00 AM, 8:00 AM, and 10:00 AM on the same date. Registration for the Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry will open at 10:00 AM, and registration for visiting students will also begin at 10:00 AM.
14. Seat reservation removal from most fall/winter courses will occur on a date to be determined in April 2025, according to Dalhousie important dates calendar.
15. Classes will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, and classes will end for the fall, winter, and multi-term courses on the same day.
16. There will be a break before exams on April 8, 2025.

Here is Dalhousie important dates and deadlines for summer 2025.

1. The summer term will begin on May 5, 2025.

3. The university will be closed for Victoria Day on May 19, 2025.
4. May 20, 2025, is the last day for students starting in the summer term to opt into or opt out of the DSU health plan.
5. Spring Convocation will take place from June 9 to June 20, 2025.
6. On a date to be determined in June 2025, registration will open at 10 a.m. ADT for third/fourth-year and part-time Law/combined programs, and for second-year, transfer, exchange, and visiting Law students. 7. Summer break for full-term courses will be from June 23 to June 27, 2025 (except for students in co-ops, clinicals, or internships).
